Back home

They had a free day for their last day.

They arrived at 8:45ish tonight in Salt Lake so early AM their time so they all looked pretty sleep deprived and the leaders looked twice as tired πŸ€ͺ.

C3 was telling stories on our drive home on how he became closer to the youth group students and also experienced patience being around the same people 24/7 🀣.

He said he really liked meeting interns at the refugee camp and might consider serving there in the future.

He said the country wasn’t as clean as people told him it would be in his opinion.

He said the place they stayed was nice and clean and beds were comfortable and he didn’t need the extra blanket he brought because they didn’t have air-conditioning so most nights they were pretty warm.

Lots of Bible studies and training and also going out and evangelizing.

His favorite part of the trip was playing volleyball with the people there and swimming in the lake.

Most challenging time was speaking to people who didn’t speak English.  He definitely became more confident in sharing the gospel and public speaking .

Has also realized that he does not like to be on planes where he’s supposed to sleep and can’t.

He also said that Dulles airport is the most dysfunctional airport he’s ever been toπŸ˜‚πŸ€·‍♀️.

I felt like he grew another 2 inches (pic).

Thank you for all your prayers and support! ❤️

We truly feel so grateful that c3 had this opportunity and it was life changing for sure!

6- Pastor Update Day 6

Hi Everyone, We had a really great day as a team! We had a few more good gospel conversations this morning after our quiet time. We came back to debrief with the large group, do our 1 Peter Study, and then discuss how we apply the things we have learned here when we get home. We’ve had some amazing conversations as a team today. We’ve seen so much growth in them this week. Can’t wait to see how God continues to sanctify and use them on a regular basis when we get home! ~casey

Students get free day tomorrow then head home !

5- Day -Some fun & Evangelizing

Dad woke c3 up with FaceTime

Day 5 text update from c3 and youth pastor

“Hi Mom,

It was a good day, we swam in the lake and played volleyball while also evangelizing to people we played with. “

Youth Pastor Update

Another great day! Today our students were able to spend time around a lake packed with people ready to hang out. They were able to use their gifts and have fun sharing the gospel with lots of people, hear some different perspectives, and even connect well with other students from other churches who have come. I can’t wait for them to share all they have learned and experienced when we get back. Please be praying for us tomorrow as it is supposed to be storming. Pray for open opportunities and flexibility. It will be our last day of strategic engagement before our free day.

Day 4 Texting with C3 and pastor update

 Day 4

Texting with C3 Day 4

It was really good today. Ryan and I shared the gospel with three people and talked to them about God with another three other people. We played volleyball with some two Europeans from Germany and they were the nicest people we’ve ever met in general. And one of the three we prayed for them on the spot.

Last night we went on a walk and a German guy went to attack us, but stu handled the situation.  I guess the guy was drunk .”

Picture above is a picture of C3 and a friend from the Youth Group.

Thx for continued prayers ❤️

Pastor update

We had a fantastic day! Students got to spend lots of time prayer walking and in Gospel conversations. Lots of Gospel conversations are happening with all different kinds of people. Students are getting more comfortable initiating gospel conversations with people. The other church groups here are predominantly made up of college students. I have heard from multiple leaders that our students are more equipped and eager to have evangelistic conversations and prayer walking in this context than any of the other teams. They have made an incredible impact here for Jesus. We are so proud of them!

3- Day

Day 3

Here is a message from C3 and also the youth pastor's message below.

C3 texted and is a man of few words :)

" We talked to many people and Muslims. We talked to some people, but only one person today spoke English and some left our conversation ."

We (C3 and I )  texted about sharing our personal testimony about love, forgiveness and eternal life.  The language barrier is tough with some but I love that he's experiencing this.

Youth Pastor said:

"Another great day!!  The students are doing amazing! We are so genuinely proud of them and their dedication to our purposes here.  Today was evangelism day. Everyone got to have a spiritual conversation with someone today. It has been so cool to talk about all of the different people from different places of the world with different world views that we have been able to talk about Jesus with.  Please continue to pray as we go back out again tomorrow to share the love of Jesus."  Casey

From Misty~ Thanks again for all your prayers.  Please pray that c3 is able to interact with people where he can communicate with them, whether they speak English or have an interpreter.

Thank you πŸ’—

Sleep Deprived Day 1

6/11/25

We heard from the team today and they are having jet lag and super tired but hopefully they are sleeping right now to get prepared for tomorrow.

Their first day they arrived they walked around town before checking in to their location and they tried to keep the kids up till 9pm so they can sleep through the night.  I got a text around 2am and c3 had a major headache and was nauseous.  Our medical zip lock full of back up meds came in handy and he was able to sleep.

Heads up: I'm having to edit my previous posts and take out detailed information in order to keep the team safe.

I'm hoping to give you way more information after the trip unless we still have to protect the staff on the ground who stay at the location.

We do know the following:

They have personal time early in the morning studying ACTS, group study and through the book of Peter.  They have evangelism training for that area.  They went to locations and prayed in those sights that they will be evangelizing in tomorrow.

That's what we know so far:)

Please pray that c3's stomach stays calm and his headaches subside.

He’s Off to Europe 06/09/25

Hi, c3 and I had our traditional Einsteins breakfast before he left this morning at 8:30am from the church.  The group and their parents got together this morning to pray and to assign the leaders to the kids.

C3 left you a video at the bottom of the pics.

Kids are currently on the plane still and c3 last texted “ I can’t sleep on planes:) “

PS. I’m not sure why my blog posts duplicates or why you might see two of everything but I’ve tried to fix it and can’t so I hope it doesn’t bug too

For some reason Blogger isn't playing our videos so we needed to put them on YouTube.

C3's Video to you “ sorry we had to remove video for safety reasons “
